Direct Support Residential

Currently seeking full-time and part-time workers on 2nd and 3rd shift and some 1st shift hours available as well. All positions require every other weekend.
Direct Support Residential workers work in our residential group homes. This opening is for our group homes in Burke County. ComServ, Inc. is a 24/7 awake provider.
To be eligible for employment, you must meet the minimum requirements and provide us with:
A completed application for employment
A valid driver's license
Social Security Card
A good driving record (the past 3 years will be reviewed)
GED or official high school diploma
Acceptable reference checks - current/past employers and personal references
Pre-employment drug-screen
Statewide Criminal Record Check
National Criminal Record Check if you have not lived in NC for the past 5 years.
North Carolina Health Care Registry Report with no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect.
Sex offender registry checked



After acceptance of employment you are required to attend a 6 day preservice before being allowed to work with the individuals we serve. A few areas of training are:
Overview of ComServ, Inc.
Human Rights, HIPAA, Confidentiality
Abuse, Neglect & Exploitation
OSHA
CPR/First Aid
Safe Lifting
NCI - North Carolina Interventions


Requirements of all positions:
Provide active treatment for Individuals to become as independent as possible with all daily living skills.
Some individuals may need assistance with bathing, toileting and other personal needs.
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop and lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to assist with transferring individuals that are non-ambulatory.




Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
