The Child Psychologist is responsible for providing evaluation services to youth dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and one or more mental health disorder as part of the NC DHHS Child Assessment Clinic (CAC).
Secondarily, the Child Psychologist serves as a member of the FIPP developmental services team and provides support to early intervention program staff working with children 0-5 years of age and their families.
Support is provided in the form of professional development, coaching, observing, joint visiting, and developing fidelity-to-implementation materials.
The Child Psychologist supports program evaluation activities and other FIPP research projects through collaborating with research design, data collection, and interpretation.
In order to be effective, this position must participate in on-site meetings.
This role will also have opportunities to participate in the development of presentations, webinars, trainings, and publications based on the research and projects conducted.

Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.
FIPP is an early childhood intervention and family support program that has been producing research and providing supports and services in western North Carolina since 1972.
The overall mission of the program is to (1) promote optimal health and development of young children, especially those with or at risk for disabilities, through supporting and strengthening families in ways that enhance their growth and well-being; and (2) promote the dissemination of research, resources and professional development opportunities to improve the delivery of services to families and children.
