This NBC/CW duopoly in Winston-Salem, NC, the 45th largest broadcast market has an opening for an experienced Research Director.
Working in support of our Sales, News, Programming, and Marketing departments, you will analyze and interpret ratings, research, and big data to design compelling stories.
These stories will be used across multiple platforms to help businesses grow their footprint in our community, state, and region.
Your stories will be the foundation of marketing that supports coverage of breaking news, severe weather, and important community service work.

Candidates should be proficient in Nielsen software, Marshall Marketing, Kantar, and Wide Orbit Media Sales.
While operational expertise is important, most valued will be critical and analytical thinking, creativity, and a can-do attitude toward multiple projects across our broadcast and digital platforms.
You will report to the General Sales Manager.
Responsibilities Create compelling stories that reinforce the marketing power of all the stations' media platforms including digital, linear, and streaming Play an integral role in the advertising sales department and works closely with station management on projects and marketing initiatives Active participant in sales as well as promotional and news activities, including but not limited to presentations to clients, station management, and at full station staff meetings Command of various software applications utilizing Nielsen research and other quantitative and qualitative data Stations' conduit for strategic information on the station's sales, news, web/mobile/digital platforms and programming performance Create compelling stories that reinforce the marketing power of all the stations' media platforms including digital, linear, and streaming In person attendance required Qualifications Prior advertising, marketing and/or broadcast experience preferred.
A background in consumer and/or media research.
Proficiency in Nielsen software (NLTV), Wide Orbit Media Sales, Marshall Marketing, Kantar, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Must possess analytical skills and creativity to effectively convey findings and publish results.
Must have command of related software applications Able to present effectually to clients, station staff and others as deemed necessary.
o Prior advertising, marketing and/or broadcast experience preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
