Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInclude the followingOther duties may be assigned.
Customer ServiceoProject a positive representation.
oGreet customers entering and throughout the storeThank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store.
oProject a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
oClear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
oAnswer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
oCommunicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
oContinually build product knowledge base and possess the ability to assist customers with store layout and product location.
oAssist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
Register OperationsoFollow all cash register transaction procedures.
oResponsible for balancing of register drawer.
oAdhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
oParticipate in store and Cashier meetings.
Front End Appearance and UpkeepoKeep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all timesFace and dust front end.
oAssist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise in as seasons change.
oEnsure fresh ads are stocked in shopping carts at all times.
oEnsure forms and supplies are stocked at all times.
oAssist with decorating the front end according to the Store Support Center program.
oCall for cart pickups when necessary.
oInform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.
oPerform all other duties as assigned.
Other Essential RequirementsNorthwest Ace Hardware Company Incis open 7 days a weekYou must be available to work flexible scheduleEducation/TrainingHigh School or GED equivalent.
ExperienceCashier experience preferredCustomer service experience preferred.
Physical DemandsStanding, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.
RequirementsMust be able to stand for 8 hours per shiftMust be able to work all shiftsOur store is open from 7:
45 am until 7:
