Open Until Filled Description of Work:
The major purpose of this position is to serve as clerical support to the Family and Children's Medicaid Unit.
The employee will assist caseworkers by identifying and gathering information needed for verification of eligibility for the Medicaid Program.
This employee must be knowledgeable about agency programs and services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess general knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
Ability to correct spelling, grammatical, punctuation, and typing errors.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must be proficient on the computer in various required applications, such as, Microsoft Windows, Word, and the State's eligibility system.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
